 NASCAR 09 will offer an authentic stock car driving experience for racing fans of all ages. Legendary NASCAR driver #24 Jeff Gordon will work you through an all-new interactive 3D menu interface, the game’s major features and advise you throughout your career. NASCAR 09 will feature the electrifying mix of rock, country, metal, and punk music.
Gordon’s prestigious reputation aligns with the new NASCAR 09 career mode, “Sprint for the Cup,” but not only is Gordon featured on the cover of NASCAR 09, but the four-time champion will take you under his wing and guide you through some of the key aspects of the game. Working with you through an all-new interactive 3D menu interface, Gordon will guide you through the game’s major features and advise you throughout your career, just as he has done with real-life protégé Jimmie Johnson. Players will use Gordon’s advice as guidance in preparing to challenge the best drivers of NASCAR in an all-new career mode and in the Sprint Driver Challenges to earn reputation and become a NASCAR champion. With NASCAR 09, your reputation is on the line and your mentor Jeff Gordon is your guide.
Today, in celebration of NASCAR 09, EA SPORTS hosts an exclusive red carpet event at Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s hot new nightclub, Whisky River, in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. Top NASCAR drivers, including NASCAR 09 cover athlete Jeff Gordon, will be attending the event and checking out the game, while also being treated to a rocking performance by NASCAR 09 soundtrack artist, P.O.D.

Utilizing the all-new Paint Booth feature, NASCAR fans can now take in-game personalization to the next level by giving users the ability to completely customize their car from start to finish. In addition, for the first time in franchise history, a car customization template is available online which creates endless possibilities for personalization. Players will be able to see their friends custom designed car skins when racing against them online.
The online connectivity of Paint Booth allows players to download a car template from easports.com and import it into editing programs, such as Photoshop, giving users a multitude of design options. They can then upload those images into the game and show off their dream machine on the track.
With a completely rebuilt handling model, the game will be more accessible to newcomers while continuing to offer options that will challenge even the most experienced virtual driver. NASCAR 09 is an authentic NASCAR experience that will appeal to every type of NASCAR enthusiast.
NASCAR 09, developed by EA Tiburon, will be available for the PS3, PS2 and Xbox 360 on June 10, 2008.
