Unlike the other DOA games while playing Survival mode there is no way to check the items collected. This makes earning the 25 points for the achievement a little harder. The good news is there are fewer items to collect but it’s still a challenge to earn.
Here is the break down of all the items and also a tip on how to earn them a little faster and unlocking the all items collected achievement.
1) Hour Glass will be old style with a Black base.
1) Candy Jar will be a light blue colored.
1) Doughnut has sprinkles and looks like two on the icon.
1) Bracelet looks like two connected and silver in color.
1) Kings Crown Bronze in color.
1) Hotdog looks rather large.
1) Xbox 360 will make the same sound as when you turn on the system.
4) Slot machines .
Note: They will all look the same but each has a different sound effect. These appear at random and normally while at double damage status.
1) Silver X Shaped Xbox Prototype . This is the hardest item to find those who played DOA 3 or DOA Ultimate will know what it looks like. It has a green Jewel in the center and will make the sound effect of the Xbox start screen.
The secret to earning the items is simple just keep playing the survival mode with the character your best at to earn the bronze award in survival. Chances are you will get the hourglass, doughnut, Crown, candy jar and bracelets easily. You will just need to listen when you pick up the slot machines and the Xbox 360 is hard to miss.
You may need to play with several different characters and either the Xbox silver Prototype or the Xbox 360 will be the last item. However, most are finding the Silver Xbox to be the hardest item to have appeared.
After earning the bronze award which is 20 wins go back to the main screen and then pick this mode again. It may take up to 50 different times playing to earn this achievement.
Change Hair Style While Playing
This will work on Helena, Hotomi, Kasumi, Kokoro, La Mariposa, Leifang and Tina. When in the character select mode pick one of these girls only the ones that have long hair as the list shows. Then instead of hitting the A button after selecting the custom hit the start button.
Those that have straight hair will have it in a bow. Helena will now have a different hair style with out her bow. Note this works while online and off.
La Mariposa Unmasked And Wearing Wings
La Mariposa or Lisa from Dead or Alive Volley Ball makes her debut in the new DOA 4 she has a mask for every custom.
Here is a way to see the girl behind the mash while playing.
You need to unlock her customs C3, C4 and C5 first now pick any of the three listed but instead of hitting the A button hit the Y button instead. Now she will have a new look and a slightly different custom but no mask.
If you pick C4 she will have a pair of Wings that look exactly like those seen on the Victoria Secrets models. Note this works while online and off.
Zack And His Super Hero Custom Secret!
Once again you can unlock Zack’s Super Hero custom also known as the TelaTubbie suit. You’ll notice that in the story mode at the end movie he changes into it and the suit lights up at the chest and the antenna on his forehead.
Pick this custom and if you just hit the A button he will have the lights lit on the chest but not on the antenna just hit the shoulder buttons and he will make a gesture and the light will suddenly turn on.
He will also make that annoying sound his victory yell. Note this works while online and off.
Special Achievements Also Marked As Secret
A few of the special achievements are thrown in win you get five losses in a row and will just show the icon and the fact you got beat with 0 points awarded.
Now there are a few secret ones that will earn some big points. To earn a quick 30 points if facing someone who is on a 20 win streak and you beat him at the 19th battle you will unlock the yellow star and get 30 points.
You already know that there are also two time achievements 1 at 5 hours of game play and 1 at ten hours. There is one for 100 hours of gameplay.
