In what comes as a slightly shocking revelation, it has been revealed that Yuji Naka, the creative genius behind the original NiGHTS game on the Saturn, is definitely not involved with a new title for the Nintendo Wii, despite strong evidence that such a game does indeed exist.
Yuji Naka recently left Sega to form his own development studio which many people seemed to think would be the perfect environment to create a brand new NiGHTS title. However according to CVG who managed to get a statement from Naka-san, this is not the case.
When asked if he was involved with the project he responded with "At present, I have no such intentions." So, either he’s trying to keep the announcement hush hush, or someone else is developing the title.
Sonic Team are a likely alternative, however some fans fear for the quality of the title given the team’s recent track record. We’ll keep you updated.
