How to convert video/dvd and put video on psp ?

Sony PSP support MPEG-4 Video formats, but it can't play MPEG-4 video encoded with bit rate higher than 768kbps that is why high quality MPEG-4 files need to be converted to a lower bit rate. The PSP will not recognize MPEG-4 video file unless it has a name in the format of M4Vxxxxx.MP4, where xxxxx is five numbers The file needs to start with M4V followed by five numbers, and then it must end in .MP4. Only meet this requests that you can put video on your psp and watch them

Above version 2.0 of the Sony PSP firmware added support for another video file format: MPEG-4 AVC. These files follow a similar naming convention to the regular .MP4 files, as they are named MAQxxxxx.MP4, where xxxxx is five numbers. AVC video files offer better image quality then regular MPEG-4 files

    This guide contains two parts:
Part1. How to rip DVD and convert AVI/FLV/WMV/ASF/DAT/MOV/MPEG/RMVB Video to PSP MP4 video.
Part2. How to put video on PSP

Part1. How to rip DVD and convert AVI/FLV/WMV/ASF/DAT/MOV/MPEG/RMVB video to PSP MP4 video

    2. if you want to convert AVI/FLV/WMV/ASF/DAT/MOV/MPEG/RMVB video or limewire and YouTube video to PSP MP4 video. Press the second button to open " Video to PSP Converter”

    3. Click “Load File” to add Video from your computer

Note: Choose the audio formats if you want to rip Video audio track to MP3 and so on. So that you can enjoy video audio on your psp.

Tip: If you choose "Merge into one file", you can join some files into one file after conversion".

    4. If you want to convert video to psp by default settings, just click “Start” button to convert. It is the easiest and common way to convert video to psp with only three steps.

Note: You can click the “Settings” button next to the format field to open the Settings window and set video resolution, frame rate, bit rate, encoder, etc. See the figure below:

    5. Crop – Cut off the black edge of your video to let you enjoy your movie in full screen by click the “Crop” button.

Move your mouse cursor to a box on the frame around the video, and drag the frame to crop your video.
    6. Trim – As you have selected the clips to convert, here you can trim any segment of your clips to convert by click the “Trim” button.

Drag the button under the Preview window to select segment you want.

    7. Effect- Set the Video Effects: Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation and adjust the volume to modulate the effect. All the progress you can see preview clearly.

Part2. How to put video on PSP

    1. Connect your Sony PSP to your computer.
    2. Once the Memory Stick shows up on your computer, create a new folder in the root directory of the Memory Stick, called MP_ROOT.
    3. Inside the MP_ROOT folder, create another folder called 101MNV01 , this folder is where all of your MPEG-4 videos must go.

    4. Inside the MP_ROOT folder, create another folder called 100ANV01. This folder is where all of your MPEG-4 AVC videos must go.

    5. Transfer some videos into either /MP_ROOT/100MNV01/ or /MP_ROOT/ 101ANV01/ depends on their formats
    6. Disconnect your Sony PSP from your computer.

Note: because the MPEG-4 and MPEG-4 AVC video formats are all end in .MP4, so if you can see the video, try to put the .MP4 video into another folder.
